Originally, the plan was for a group of bloggers, including myself, to read through all 4 volumes of Bavinck’s dogmatics in a year. Ultimately, the project failed, probably because of busy schedules and other responsibilities. So I’m attempting to re-work the plan, reading roughly 5-7 pages of Bavinck a day. I’ll definitely not get through all 4 volumes in a year, but it will allow me to slowly enjoy the greatness of this work while working on other reading projects in the meantime. At 5 pages of Bavinck a day, I’ll be able to finish vol. 1 in about 125 days or so. Right now, I’m the only one doing this, but I’d love to discuss Bavinck with someone who has read through the dogmatics or someone who would like to join me in this attempt to understand one of the greatest and most prolific Reformed dogmaticians.
